I often choose songs to cover simply because I enjoy them, and sometimes their deeper meaning only becomes clear to me later on.
This tune by "The Weepies" is my second one to cover from this band, (check out "Gotta Have You" ft. Carson McKee, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMydVCVDl9o if you haven't seen it yet)
I was particularly keen to perform it because of its basic yet captivating bass line, which was quite challenging for me as a beginner bass player.
